Lee Acton – Chief Executive

Lee is a Graduate, MBA with 17 years experience in training, the last 12 of which have been in senior positions within some of the UK’s largest work-based learning companies. He has worked directly with large, blue-chip companies to create and implement local and national recruitment campaigns to attract young people into employment and to subsequently train them on funded “Apprenticeship” programmes.

Samantha Smith – Quality Director

Sam has 13 years experience at a senior level in which time she managed ALI and Ofsted inspections for two of the largest providers of apprenticeship training in the country. Her most recent success was leading Skillnet to grade 1 "outstanding" status in our most recent Ofsted inspection. She has also achieved Training Quality Standard Part A and Part B for Skillnet.  Sam is a KPMG associate for the World Class Skills programme and in that role successfully advises a range of companies and colleges on the development of processes, systems and materials to achieve improved success rates and delivery of learning excellence.

Hazel Wilcock – Sales Director

Hazel has an extensive background in high street recruitment, managing large teams in delivering national and local recruitment programmes. She leads a large team of assessors and recruitment consultants in developing Skillnet's relationships with a range of employers from large manufacturers to smaller independent dealerships.


Stephen Ramsay - Chairman

Stephen is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has a wealth of experience in the Motor Industry. Previously thr managing Director or ReMIT Stephen has spent much of his career developing the skills and opportunities of the people working in the industry

Will McCafferty- Head of Learning

Will is responsible for the learning delivery within Skillnet, together with the development of our schools programmes
