Skillnet declared ‘Outstanding’ at Ofsted inspection

In a first for the motor industry, Skillnet Limited has achieved the highest Ofsted grade ever for a private training provider in the sector.

Skillnet achieved a Grade 1 Outstanding level in each of the six inspection categories which included overall effectiveness of provision, capacity to make and sustain improvement, outcomes for learners, quality of provision, leadership and management and automotive engineering.

Chief Executive of Skillnet, Lee Acton, said: “We’re extremely pleased to have achieved this result. Ofsted is the official body which regulates Apprenticeship training so its endorsement in our service provision is very important to us. I would like to thank all our customers for their ongoing support and for the feedback which helped Ofsted assess the level of training and service that we provide.

Quality Director at Skillnet, Sam Smith, added: “As an organisation we have a clear vision and high aspirations for our delivery of training to learners and the level of service we provide our customers. Ofsted recognised these targets and praised our ambitious and well planned approach. This result validated all our hard work and we are delighted.”

Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills in England. The organisation regulates and inspects schools, colleges, training providers and other education establishments to achieve excellence in the care of children, young people and adults and in education and skills for learners of all ages.
