By maintaining links with schools and colleges we always maintain a selection of bright, committed applicants for you to choose from. When you have employed them we will help you to train them in all of the skills they will need to become fully qualified technicians. Training for apprentices aged 16-18 is paid for by the Learning and Skills Council. For older apprentices employers are asked to make a contribution towards the cost of their training.

Selecting the right apprentice.

We take great care to understand your precise requirements before matching any potential apprentices to you. We take all of our applicants through a rigorous selection process to test their commitment, mechanical aptitude and academic ability. This includes a series of tests, face to face interviews and presentations. For every 1 applicant that you see we have tested and interviewed many more. Of course, as these applicants will become your employees, you get the final say on which applicant(s) you employ.

First-class training facilities for first-class results

To make sure that your apprentices receive the best possible training we have invested more than £1million in our training facilities and we are confident that our training academies and those of our partners set the benchmark for quality across th UK. We will: Assist with finding, interviewing and employing your apprentice; Create a training programme for each apprentice that meets their needs; and your needs as an employer. Deliver practical and theoretical training to apprentices at one of our Automotive Academy sites; Visit you and your apprentice regularly to assess progress and plan future training.

Training for existing technicians

As motor industry specialists we can also offer a range of technical courses to your adult staff. These include: Engine management and Emissions Vehicle Electrical/ Electronic systems ABS - Vehicle Dynamic control, Driveline technology, Steering and suspension systems, Climate control, Car diagnostics and a range of other courses which can be tailored to meet your needs.
